STREET & CLUB STYLES

INTRO HIP-HOP

Before you fly, you have to find your footing. This class is a deep dive into foundations—the bounce, the rock, and the grooves that define the culture. It’s the essential building block for everything else we do.

HIP-HOP

Pure choreography that refuses to be boxed in. We blend street and commercial styles based on the choreographer’s unique vision and their specific interpretation of the beat.

GROOVES

A 45-minute high-energy pulse check. No cheesy tracks and no "squats as dance moves"—just follow-along movements set to an upbeat playlist of hip-hop and jazz funk created in-house by GDC.

BREAKING

Take it to the floor. Learn the history and the heavy-hitting foundations: toprock, footwork, power moves, and freezes. Master the cypher etiquette and develop your own style with some of the best breakers in the city.

JAZZ FUNK

A high-voltage fusion of commercial jazz and street styles. It’s fierce, powerful, and unapologetic—designed to help you release your inner icon and leave everything else at the door.

HEELS

Powerful, sultry, and unapologetic. This class merges hip-hop, jazz, and contemporary into a single feminine force. Open to ages 17 and up.

Gear:

Supportive heels or boots that protect the ankle are required. Knee pads are highly recommended.

LATIN / BALLROOM

Hot, steamy, and pulse-stopping. We combine the rhythms of Salsa, Samba, Bachata, and Reggaetón for a flirtatious, high-energy session focused on swiveling hips and dramatic turns.

OPEN STYLE

A limitless choreography class where styles collide. Expect a fusion of genres based entirely on the choreographer’s background and their connection to the music.

EXPRESSIVE & TECHNICAL STYLES

MUSICAL THEATRE JAZZ

Broadway grit. This class focuses on high-performance, character-driven movement that demands stage presence. We combine classic jazz technique with a sharp, theatrical bite to tell a story through movement.

Gear:

Jazz shoes or sneakers recommended.

COMMERCIAL JAZZ

Camera-ready. A blend of sharp jazz lines and street influence designed for the stage and screen. It's high-energy, stylized, and undeniably sleek—perfect for those looking to master industry-standard movement.

Gear:

CONTEMPORARY/ LYRICAL

Connect the mind and body through fluid storytelling. This expressive style blends modern, jazz, and classical ballet to create motion that speaks.

CONTEMP FLOW

Focus on the "how" behind the movement. We start with alignment and balance, followed by technique phrases and guided across-the-floor progressions to keep the energy moving.

MODERN (HORTON)

Build dynamic movement and full-body awareness using the Lester Horton Technique. Investigate "Fortifications" designed to lengthen and strengthen through flatbacks, lateral stretches, and deep lunges.

BALLET

The architecture of all dance. This classical form demands grace and precision, using formalized steps and barre work to build expression through movement.

Ballet shoes or socks recommended.

TECHNIQUE: LEAPS & TURNS

Level up your aerial and rotational power. Following a strength-and-conditioning warm-up, dancers train pirouettes and tackle across-the-floor progressions including leaps and battements.
