Our Recreational Program is designed for dancers of all ages and experience levels, offering high-quality training in a positive, supportive environment. With a variety of styles to explore, flexible enrollment options, and exciting performance opportunities—including our Holiday Showcase and end-of-season Gala—dancers have the chance to build confidence, form lasting friendships, and grow their passion for dance. Whether you’re stepping into the studio for the first time or continuing your journey, we can’t wait to welcome you into the Gravity family.

2026-2027
RECREATIONAL CLASSES
AGES 18 Months – 5 Years

The Debut (Ages 18 months – 2): A high-profile 30-minute interactive session for our youngest stars and their parents. Focuses on movement discovery and rhythm using curated soundtracks and engaging props.

Couture Classics (Ages 2 – 3): A 30-minute introduction to the aesthetics of ballet. We focus on the "red carpet" basics: poise, rhythm, and fundamental positions.

Cinematic Stories (Ages 3 – 4): Ballet through a narrative lens. In this 45-minute class, technical basics are woven into the "script" of a daily storybook.

Opening Act (Ages 4 – 5): The ultimate double-threat class. 45 minutes of fundamental Tap and Ballet technique to prepare dancers for center stage.
AGES 5-9

Mini 1 Jazz (Ages 5 – 6): High-energy, sharp isolations, and the start of technical leaps and turns (1 hour).

Mini 1 Tap/Ballet (Ages 5 – 6): A 60-minute technical session divided between rhythmic tap and classical ballet foundations.

Junior Hip Hop (Ages 5 – 8): Edgy, fundamental hip-hop movement with a focus on performance and groove (45 minutes).

Pre-Company (Ages 5 – 9): For the dancer ready for the professional track. This elite 30-minute session prepares students for their first competitive appearance in Indianapolis.

Mini/Junior Tap (Ages 7 – 11): A percussive focus on individual tap technique and complex footwork (45 minutes).

Mini 2 Jazz (Ages 7 – 9): Pushing technical boundaries with advanced turns and flexibility training (1 hour).

Mini 2 Ballet (Ages 7 – 9): Serious training in terminology and strength for the aspiring professional (1 hour).
AGES 10 - 12

Junior Hip Hop (Ages 9 – 12): Hard-hitting, current hip-hop technique and high-level choreography (1 hour).

Junior Ballet (Ages 10 – 12): Elite technical training focusing on alignment, strength, and terminology (1 hour).

Junior Jazz (Ages 10 – 12): Our most popular high-intensity jazz class focusing on power and precision (1 hour).

Conditioning (Ages 12+): A 45-minute technical workout focused on building the dancer’s physique through cardio and core work.
AGES 13+

Teen Hip Hop: Advanced urban movement and style for the experienced dancer (45 minutes).

Teen Jazz: Sophisticated, sharp, and high-intensity jazz technique (1 hour).

Teen Ballet: Advanced classical discipline and technical refinement (1 hour).

Teen Tap: Fast-paced, intricate tap combinations and rhythmic theory (45 minutes).
